Bello Hassan Mr. Bello Hassan, is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC). Prior to joining the Corporation, he has served the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for 32 years where he was at the forefront of the on-site/off-site supervisions of banks and other financial institutions as well as tackling financial stability issues.

He excelled in his role as the Director, Other Financial Institutions Supervision Department and applied the same astute qualities of excellence in 2020 in his role as the Director, Banking Supervision Department.

He represented the CBN on the Boards of Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), Financial Institutions Training Center (FITC), FMDQ Clear Ltd., as well as on the Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).

As the CBN Director of Banking Supervision, he represented the CBN as a member of the Board of Directors of the NDIC, before being appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari as the MD/CE of the Corporation in 2021.

Mr. Bello Hassan holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Accounting and an MBA from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He also holds a Diploma in Business Continuity Management from Coventry University, UK.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria as well as an Honorary Fellow, Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN). He is happily married and blessed with children.
