Hon Omo'lola Abiola-Edewor

Mrs. Osuji is the Executive Director, Corporate Services, Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC). She began her career as a pioneer staff of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation as Management Assistant in 1989 and rose through the ranks to become the Director Asset Management Department.

At different times throughout her career she has been in charge of implementing the effective supervision of insured financial institutions covered by the NDIC. She was responsible for Premium Examination and Collection for 25 Deposit Money Banks, 950 Microfinance Banks, and 42 Primary Mortgage Institutions. As a Deputy Director of the Special Insured Institutions Department, she has managed the largest teams in the Corporation which included two zonal offices.

Her commitment to duty was applied to the interaction between operators and the Corporation, resulting in higher premium collections and general industry harmony. She aided the microfinance and mortgage banking industries with development assistance, which had provided positive impact on the financial institutions.

She graduated from the University of Maiduguri with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Sociology and an MBA in Finance from the University of Lagos. Mrs. Osuji is a Fellow of the Association of Enterprise Risk Management Professionals and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management.

She is also a member of the Ikoyi Club 1938, she loves swimming and is happily married with children.
